Based on Shakespeare's ode to star-crossed love, Romeo and Juliet, the feel-good jukebox musical features iconic songs from legendary pop songwriter Max Martin, including his hits for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, The Weeknd, and Kelly Clarkson. But this is no retelling of the much-loved play – this is, instead, a chance for Juliet to choose her own fate, and embark on a journey of self-discovery.
The performance is densely packed with automated stage elements, performer flying and retractable lifting rigs, all controlled by SimpleMotion Simplicity software.
SimpleMotion designed, manufactured, controlled and installed the performer flying, revolve lift, balcony lift plus many other elements for this truely spectacular production of & Juliet at the Regent Theatre Melbourne. The install included SimpleMotions unique SimpleSurface and JogBox, Power Distribution and Drive Cabinets, Chain Motors and custom designed & machined hoists and sleds.
